Island Finance proudly participated in the Annual Curacao World Cleanup Day held this past Saturday, September 21 at Sta Maria (Kooyman). The initiative themed “Superheroes” focused on creating a cleaner, healthier, and greener environment for all. This effort highlights the significant environmental threat posed by non-biodegradable waste, particularly plastics, which can have devastating effects on both our well-being and ecosystems.
Island Finance was very excited to join forces with other organizations that shared their commitment to address the growing issue of mismanaged waste in our communities. The team of dedicated volunteers worked collaboratively, collecting and sorting waste from the streets, ensuring proper disposal. As part of this effort, they were able to collect 45 bags of trash primarily of plastic materials.
Island Finance highlighted the broader significance of the initiative: Bring together individuals, organizations and companies that believe in joining forces with small actions that can lead to transformative change. As we all face the challenges of climate change, pollution and contamination, Island Finance remains committed to contributing through ongoing volunteering efforts. Island Finance wants to extend our heartfelt thanks @CuracaoCleanUp for allowing us to participate in this vital cause, and our amazing team for joining us in this special initiative.
